We started POGS to offer the best headphones and accessories for young people. The label 'best' goes beyond great looking and sounding products. We believe safety, exploration, and sustainability are critical for the next generations. Read more on safety below, and check out the buttons above for the other key reasons that set POGS apart.

Safe listening for sensitive ears

Protecting young ears is a top priority as kids and young adults increasingly use headphones for study, leisure and travel. Safe listening depends on volume and time listened to it.

At the upper limit for young, sensitive ears of 85dB, listening is only safe for up to 3.5 hours per week. Lowering the volume to 75 dB extends safe listening time to 40 hours per week. With the POGS app you can reduce the maximum volume level for wireless connections and monitor the time headphones have been used.

The volume also depends on the type of audio connection you're using. Generally, a wireless connection is safer as volume output levels of modern devices through cables has increased. Uniquely, POGS audio cables now also have integrated POGS-Safe technology to further limit volume levels through wired connections.

Using Noise Cancelling further increases safety as it allows for lower volumes by reducing outside distractions and noise.

Cable safety

All POGS cables are detachable so they unplug if a cable gets caught behind something. This avoids damage to you, your POGS and your device. This also gives your headphones a longer life.

The audio cables have an angled plug that plugs into your device, to avoid the plug and jack getting damaged if it gets knocked.
